Es una red de pagos entre personas, sin bancos de por medio, que surgió a partir de una separación de Bitcoin en 2017. La moneda BCH sirve para transferir valor y pagar dentro de esa red, apostando por comisiones bajas y transacciones ágiles.
Su ventaja está en el efecto de red (mientras más gente y comercios la usan, más útil se vuelve) y en heredar buena parte de la historia y comunidad de Bitcoin.
